Copies of general or additional instructions, or of extracts of instructions. With the exception of a true copy of Carleton's instructions of 1774, which came from the Public Record Office these instructions were found among the miscellaneous papers from Government sources which were transferred to the National Archives from time to time.
Commissions to governors, some of which are transcribed in full, while in other cases only such parts as indicate changes have been copied. Transcribed from the Patent Rolls. Transcripts, 132 pages. - Persistent URL
