Description

This collection consists of letters and enclosures addressed to the Lieutenant Governor of Upper Canada or his office. It is mainly composed of letters from private persons and from provincial officials in Upper and Lower Canada. A significant portion of the correspondence is from the Office of the Military Secretary. It is arranged chronologically and covers the time period, 1792-1841.
Cette collection est constituée de lettres avec pièces jointes adressées au lieutenant-gouverneur du Haut-Canada ou à son bureau. Elle comprend surtout des lettres envoyées par des particuliers ou des fonctionnaires provinciaux du Haut et du Bas-Canada. Une portion significative de cette correspondance provient du bureau du secrétaire militaire. Le tout est classé par ordre chronologique et couvre la période de 1792 à 1841.
