Description: This sub-series consists of aircraft accident investigation files arranged according to the second RCAF files classification system. In this system all information pertaining to an aircraft accident was filed under the file number 1700 followed by the aircraft registration number, e.g. 1700-1360 for the Hawker Hurricane a/c 1360 which crashed at 27 August 1942. The files in the sub-series are for aircraft with with either RCAF or RAF registration numbers, but only cover investigations conducted in Canada.
