Not much is known about Guillaume Monforton, other than that he was a notary at Detroit in the 1780s and 1790s.
This collection contains the original register of Guillaume Monforton, notary of Detroit, 1786-1792, as well as an index. Included in the collection are land grants, marriage contracts, sales, donations, receipts, records of survey, inventories of goods, arbitrations, guarantees, powers of attorney, bonds and other deeds.
On connaît peu de choses de la vie de Guillaume Monforton, sinon qu’il pratiquait comme notaire à Détroit dans les années 1780 et 1790.
Cette collection se compose d’un registre original de Guillaume Monforton, notaire de Détroit, 1786-1792, ainsi que d’un index.
